Tifaret London AW25 Collection

Emerging womenswear brand Tifaret returned to London Fashion Week after a successful debut in 2024. Tifaret’s founder and creative director, Chiyue Dai holds an MA in womenswear from London College of Fashion in addition to receiving training from Central Saint Martins tutors.

This season, Tifaret draws inspiration from Michelangelo Antonioni’s masterpiece Red Desert, channeling its cinematic tension into a collection where icy restraint and molten romance collides.

Translating the film’s theme of isolation, the color palette features shades of ash, slate, and dove-grey, disrupted by rich jewel tones—a symbolic contrast between restraint and expression.

Delicate Chinoiserie motifs appear throughout the collection, with embroidered peonies veiled in sheer lace.

The Silhouettes of Tifaret’s latest collection reimagine traditional Chinese garments with a deconstructed approach. Each piece is crafted to enhance movement and form, creating a wearable architectural aesthetic.

Fabrics used include: American Supima cotton, liquid silks, and fine woolens, complemented by organic horn buttons and sculptural fastenings.

The collection also incorporates an impressive level of technical flair including waterproof wool trench coats spun at high twist, laser-etched pleats and 3D drafting techniques.
