Ladies – What to Wear to Ascot’s King George Weekend

After Royal Ascot, King George Weekend is the second most glamorous race at Ascot. It is a more relaxed but still elegant occasion where the racegoers showcase their summer style, bask in the sunshine on the racecourse’s lawns (weather permitting) and/or cool off in the many bars and restaurants. The action is held across two days, this year Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July 2025.

Official Dress Code in the King Edward VII Enclosure & Hospitality Areas

Guests are required to dress for a smart summer occasion. Millinery is not compulsory, but hats and headpieces are encouraged. Examples of acceptable attire include but are not limited to: A dress, suit or jumpsuit with a hat or headpiece. Trainers are not allowed. Fancy dress, novelty attire and sportswear are also not permitted.

Ladies, We Say… Not limited to the restrictive dress codes of Royal Ascot, this is the time to show off your summer style without thinking of hemlines or the widths of shoulder straps.
