Cheltenham Racecourse is the Home of Jump Racing set in 360 acres amongst the beautiful Cotswolds Hills. Cheltenham’s Jump season begins with The Showcase in October and ends with the April Meeting.
One of the great autumn jump occasions is the three day November Meeting from Friday 14th November until Sunday 16th November 2025.
Official Dress Code
Officially there is no dress code – their motto is ‘Dress to feel Your Best’ even if that is a nice sweatshirt, pair of jeans and clean trainers.
However for a big race meeting such as The November Meeting most racegoers choose to wear a sharp suit or glamorous dress and high heels. Whichever you decide remember to dress for the weather. Hats are not required.
Fancy dress is permitted as long as the outfit is not offensive and the racecourse reserves the right to decline entry should the need arise. Sports team kits are not permitted.

For Ladies: What to Wear to The November Meeting? We Say….
Mid November can still be mild and sunny but it can also turn cold and fresh at a moment’s notice. Either way, the chances are you won’t be taking your coat or jacket off whilst watching the races, so for style your outerwear becomes the fashion priority.

Tweed
Tweed suits don’t have to be frumpy, they can be modern and contemporary such as Guess’ Tweed biker jacket Was £140.00 now £91.00, and their matching Bodycon tweed mini dress Was £120.00 now £60.00. Team with a pair of thick warm tights and boots: GUESS® Garica Side-Buckle Boot in cream £185.00. Remember Layering is key and your secret style tip when considering what to wear to Cheltenham Racecourse, as well as other courses! So don’t forget to wear a blouse or jumper under that dress. GUESS® Cashmere-blend sweater in white £70.00. Cardigans are another layering option. Pop one under your coat/jacket or go for a chunky cardigan instead and wear as outerwear. The hat … Although hats are not required, many women prefer to wear one to complete their racing day outfit (and to help keep warm!). Don’t bring out your summer hats though, stick to fabrics such as wool felt or (faux) fur to look stylish and keep warm. Add a youthful touch with Guess’ baseball cap style Faux fur hat in cream. £50.00 The Scarf is where you could splash out on colour but choose wisely. When planning what to wear to Cheltenham Racecourse, it’s wise to remember that the right colour will lift your complexion giving a more youthful glow whilst the wrong colour can drain and age you. Luckily scarves come in an array of hues so it should be easy to find a shade to suit your colouring. The Handbag, We Say…Take a medium to large bag so you have room to carry essentials for all types of weather :gloves, scarves, cardigan when chilly, an umbrella if it rains and even sunglasses if the sun does decide to shine. GUESS® Giully Quilted Shoulder Bag £140.00. Don’t let your umbrella let you down in the fashion stakes, if it’s raining this will be on view for all to see. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just in good condition and complement your outfit with its colour or print. A compact umbrella is a good choice so you can keep it in your bag when the sun shines such as GUESS® 4G logo umbrella in grey, beige or brown. £40.00
