Titled ‘The Mirrored Garden’ Richard Quinn’s SS27 collection is a study in glamour, reflection and the ritual of dressing — moving from the intimacy of the dressing room to the drama of the ballroom. Conceived within a surreal mirrored environment, the collection explores distortion, perspective and the heightened drama of getting dressed.

A vision of future archive, the collection revisits the confidence and excess of 1980s glamour through a contemporary lens. The silhouette is sharply defined. Sculpted corsetry, strong shoulders and cinched waists establish an hourglass line, while bell skirts and sweeping evening shapes heighten the sense of occasion.

The palette moves from black and ivory into lacquer red, lipstick pink, powder blue, gardenia white and rich jewel tones.

Signature florals are expressed through artisanal fabrications and richly developed textiles. Print and textiles play a central role, with Swarovski accents, statement jewellery, mirrored details and jewellery-box motifs reinforcing the language of the dressing table. Craft remains central to the house, with the Richard Quinn atelier, print practice and textile development underpinning the collection.

The Mirrored Garden considers clothing as image, ritual and memory — garments created for the extraordinary moment and the life that follows.
