There are few people who understand the transformative power of a great outfit quite like Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Now, the singer, performer and certified queen of the dancefloor is bringing that same sense of colour, wit and glamour to the world of sleepwear, joining forces with British nightwear and lifestyle label Their Nibs on a playful new collaboration. Their Nibs x Sophie Ellis-Bextor – THEIR NIBS

The partnership brings together two worlds: Their Nibs’ signature hand-drawn prints and joyful maximalism, reimagined through Sophie’s technicolour universe of music, vintage fashion and unapologetic sparkle. For Sophie, the collaboration offered a chance to translate some of her favourite visual references into her own take on nightwear, from her signature green glitter eyeshadow to the vintage florals that fill her wardrobe. “I’ve always loved the idea that what you wear can change how you feel, and Their Nibs have such a brilliant way of bringing that sense of joy into everyday life. It felt natural to take some of the things that feel very ‘me’, the colour, the vintage references, the glamour and, of course, a little bit of disco and turn them into something you can wear at home. Fiona has created such a beautiful world with Their Nibs, so it was a real pleasure to play in it.”- Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
The first print, Read My Lips, is an invitation into Sophie’s wonderful world; full of performance, colour, joy and plenty of sequins. A playful hot-pink design sees “Ooh La La” sweep across the print, punctuated by a bold red lipstick, kisses and delicate musical notes. The hot pink contrasted with vivid red makes for a suitably flirtatious colour clash, while the design is framed by the signature green inspired by Sophie’s iconic glittery eyeshadow. The result is unmistakably Sophie: pop, polished and just the right side of outrageous.
The second print, Murder On The Forest Floor, explores another side of the singer. Because even the queen of the dancefloor needs a day off. While there is the Sophie of the stage; outgoing, dancing and performing, there is also the softer version, staying in and enjoying slow mornings at home. The print takes inspiration from Sophie’s love of vintage fashion and her eclectic wardrobe, drawing on romantic sixties florals from her own collection of clothes. Their Nibs designer Sia delved into the world of beautiful but poisonous flowers, creating a print that is both pretty and slightly perilous – a fitting floral for the woman behind Murder on the Dancefloor. A deep midnight base sets the scene, punctuated by vivid pops of colour that give the sixties-inspired blooms a contemporary edge.
The final touch is the Iconic Eyes eyemask, a playful nod to one of Sophie’s most recognisable signatures: her green glittery eyeshadow. The design transforms her iconic gaze into a fun, tongue-in-cheek accessory, taking a cue from the glamour of a classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s-style sleep mask and reimagining it in hot pink, with Sophie’s unmistakable eyes peeking out from beneath.
