Fashion London UK presented an all inclusive runway show for British and International designers  during London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027.

Edric Ong

Malaysian designer is at the forefront of eco slow fashion, consciously working with communities of weavers and crafts artists to create and market handmade designs. 

Titled ‘Pusaka Heritage’ Ong’s collection is inspired by the handwoven ‘kain songket’ brocade and ‘ikat’ textiles of Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, the styling culture and heritage textiles, combined with his own natural dyes of ‘lac’ and ‘ketapang’ in hand-woven silks and cottons; including hand crafted accessories all come together into a unique fashion statement. Sarawak’s Orang -Ulu unique palm leaf ‘saong’ sun hats and the rattan ‘topi tunjang’ hats are also a signature style of Edric Ong.

The EO brand by Edric Ong is based out of Kuching, Malaysian Borneo and combines a touch of ethnic and oriental with the contemporary, innovative styles with creative use of hand-woven silks and cottons.

Aga Couture London presented a refined collection designed with real life in mind: sophisticated, wearable pieces that combine timeless elegance with modern femininity. Tailored coats, suits and dresses are crafted in crepe, brocade and wool, brought together in a palette of classic autumnal tones. Designed to move effortlessly from day to occasion, each piece reflects their philosophy: classy, elegant and made to be worn beyond a single season.

At the heart of this unveiling lies Aga Couture’s Weybridge atelier, an intimate sanctuary where craftsmanship and creativity converge. Here clients are guided through a one to one couture experience, shaping garments to reflect individuality and personal elegance.

Rumah Rukuji by Myra Widiono

Indonesian designer’s ‘Relung: Where Layers Reveal The Unseen’ collection is a contemporary exploration of Indonesia’s living textile heritage. It reveals what lies beneath every weave. Stories of craftsmanship, culture and the enduring relationship between people and nature.

Relung transforms a variety of woven fabrics produced by indigenous people and transforms the textiles into fashionable collections through eco-design and zero waste concept. Handwoven fabric from  across the archipelago- from Dayak Iban Pileh and Balinese Gringsing to ikat from Eastern Indonesia, Ulap Doyo and bark cloth. Each garment is crafted with asymmetrical cuts, layered silhouettes and bold expressions of Indonesian natural dyes. 

Myra is an Indonesian designer and cultural advocate whose work bridges architecture, fashion and traditional craftsmanship. As a founder of Ruman Rukuji ( a shelter for culture, art and craft, which specialises in Indonesian textiles and art.) and Chairperson of WARLAMI (Indonesia Natural Dyes Organization), Myra is dedicated to preserving Indonesian textile traditions through natural dyes, sustainable design and collaboration with artisan communites.

Titled ‘Monochromantic: Chrome & Romance’ the collection plays with the idea that black and white need never be just black and white. A collision of softness and edge, where romantic dressing gets a sharper, more playful attitude. Lace, embroidery and florals sit against flashes of silver, crisp tailoring and cleaner silhouettes, while slim lace trousers and unexpected contrasts stop everything becoming too pretty or predictable. There’s still femininity here, but it isn’t fragile. It’s confident, a little decadent and knowingly dressed up, balancing vintage romance with something cooler and more modern. – Pretty, Polished, Provocative, with just enough bite.

Maheen Khan

A pioneer designer from Bangladesh, Maheen specialises in reviving ancient traditions, preserving endangered craftsmanship and giving cultural heritage a modern, unique look on the global stage. She champions slow fashion that is chic and contemporary yet rooted in local creativity. 

A champion of Bangladeshi handloom traditions, the designer introduces and SS27 collection rooted in a cultural memory and timeless design. Centred on mul mul khaas, a fabric that’s woven into the artistic identitiy of Bangladesh and carries centuries of Bengali artistry with its fine, delicate weave. The collection pays homage to classic silhouettes understated elegance and cultural significance. Mul Mul Khass was the ultimate grade of legendary Dhaka muslin, reserved strictly for emperors, royalty and high nobility during the Mughal era. Translated, it means ‘muslin for the special’ or ‘ royal cloth’. Under the Mughal emperors, state supervised workshops known as Mulboos Khas Kootees were established and the best weavers were registered to produce this fabric specifically for the imperial court. Foreign traders, poets and travellers gave it legendary epithets like woven air, running water and morning dew due to its sheer transparency.

Alex Le Mez

Alex Le Mez creates wearable art that is entirely unique and unrepeatable. A balance of organic realism with signature staple gems. Her collections have always sought to serve a deeper purpose with every pieces having already lived a life prior to it being given a new existence by the designer’s mastery.

The SS27 collection was available for purchase post show with donations included to support the animal conversation charities representing the subjects depicted. But never fear if the collection has sold out as Alex offers commissioned work. Alex used the photography of Andrew Brown, a trustee of The David Shepard Foundation, to create her designs for the SS27 collection
