Guests are required to dress for a smart summer occasion. Millinery is not compulsory, but hats and headpieces are encouraged. Examples of acceptable attire include but are not limited to: A dress, suit or jumpsuit with a hat or headpiece. Trainers are not allowed. Fancy dress, novelty attire and sportswear are also not permitted.

Whilst they encourage racegoers to dress for a smart occasion, no formal Dress Code applies in the Queen Anne and Winning Post Enclosure during either the Flat or Jumps season, with the exception of Royal Ascot. However, during the Flat season at Ascot, guests generally choose to dress for a smart occasion. Millinery is not compulsory, but hats and fascinators are encouraged. Fancy dress, novelty attire and sportswear are not permitted.
We Say … .A trouser or skirt suit allows you to make a last minute choice on wearing a jumper, blouse or camisole underneath depending on the weather that day. However, opt for the summer bright colours rather than autumnal shades.
